They soar, they glide, they loop-the-loop. Children can make and fly ten different paper airplanes, while absorbing the basic principles of aerodynamics, wind speed, thrust, and gravity.Step-by-step instructions are among the best we've seen, with detailed illustrations and clear language, plus great tips for troubleshooting flight problems and modifying wings for maximum lift. Each plane pattern is rated for difficulty (based on the number of folds) from quite simple to complex.A very rewarding year-round activity. The book comes with 40 sheets of flight-tested paper (8½"" x 11""), printed on both sides. Spiral-bound paperback, 128 pages. Parents' Choice Gold Award and Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award. Ages 7+, younger with adult assistance.

This was purchased as a gift for my 8 year old son. He had a great time making the planes with all the good-quality paper that is included with the book. He did need some help with making some of them but him and his younger sister had a blast flying them around the house. I would definitely recommend this as a great gift!
