I've played this game with my 3 1/2 year old grandchild, who really liked using her imagination and also liked that we worked together to get to Granny's house. This was her first "game" experience. She had a good time and created mini stories as we worked around the potential impasses. I've also used it as a play therapy tool: again, the child really liked the fun aspects of the game. As well, it brought out her imagination, creativity and problem-solving abilities. She was very proud that she could figure out how to get around the "oh oh's." I really like that this is a fun, cooperative (vs competitive) game and highly recommend it.

We have a board game corner of choices for 4 year old and Granny's House is her top choice. She prefers it up against classics like checkers and ladders/chutes.

I used this game for social groups that I run as part of an elementary school counseling/guidance program. This game fosters team work, problem solving and creative thinking. I haven't found many games that I like as well as this one. It would also be a very good family game.
