Highly recommended by teachers for use at home. Children can serve themselves independently by twisting the plastic lid open to pour, then twisting it again to close. Easy-grasp handle and nearly dripless spout. Not recommended for hot liquids. Pitcher is dishwasher-safe. Lid is BPA-free polypropylene (plastic #5). Holds 16¾ ounces; 3¼"" base x 6"" high. Please note: The lid on this pitcher is designed so that it will turn easily--it does not seal the pitcher.

My four-year-old loves her pitcher - though the bubble wrap was the most exciting thing when she opened it! She loves it so much that she insists on pouring her own milk, and sometimes the milk for the whole family. I may get a second one for water. It is a bit heavy for the little one, so she uses two hands, but I love that it is good quality. I was a bit disappointed in the lid. The lid doesn't fit as snugly as I expected, and in the "closed" position, liquid still pours out, but at least not as much as when opened. Overall, though, a great, quality product that I would buy again and recommend.

The size of the pitcher is perfect for my 4-year old to handle. I want to buy a couple more for my nieces.

This pitcher is the ideal size for preschoolers; the children are able to pour their own water and the four year olds are able to refill the pitcher when it is empty. We start the year with a half filled pitcher which allows the children time to develop pouring skills. The children learn how full to fill their cups by holding the cup with one hand, pouring water from the pitcher with the other. As they pour they are developing fine motor skills and eye hand coordination; they also learn how to take turns with others as they pass the pitcher around the table to classmates.

Good size, sturdy and not too heavy. Its perfect for my daycare kids to pour their own water. My only wish is that I coupd buy different sizes to fit different needs.

Got two of these, one for milk and one for orange juice. Now my 3 year old can make her own breakfast - cereal and a glass of juice all by herself! She is so proud of herself! Also highly recommend the durable glass tumblers-goes perfectly w this pitcher.

My son uses these pitchers at school, so to create a similar environment where he can continue his independence at home is great! So easy for him to use-we love it;)

My 6 year old and 2 1/2 year old both use this pitcher easily (filled half way for the little one because it gets somewhat heavy. It's a great tool for encouraging them to becoming more independent!
