Our 4yo loved them so much she started spontaneously writing the words on her chalk board one morning.

I love this magnet set! My very early reader can read a lot of the words in here. I've been making silly sentences for her to read and leaving them on the refrigerator at night so she can read them when she wakes up.

My daughter loves to arrange the words to make sentences on the fridge. I test her some days and tell her what sentence I'd like for her to write and let her take her time to find the words and then put the sentence together. It is helping her with reading as well as word recognition. I agree with other reviews that there are certain word tenses that I wish were part of the box. But it is still a helpful tool for my kindergartener in helping her read.

We purchased the box of magnetic poetry for our daughter, and we love it. She has been writing poetry on the refrigerator and using the magnets to tell how she is feeling. Our only complaint is the lack of some words she has desired, but for a beginner box it is pretty good.

I teach ESL (English as a second language) and bought this for that purpose. I also will use it with my grandchildren when they begin to read. I like the size of the lettering, added possible endings (ing, ed, ly), and word variety. Prefixes and suffixes would have been helpful. More descriptive words (adjectives and adverbs) with possibly some "kid" expressions/slang would be fun especially for the stated purpose (poetry) and the age marketed.
