My son never go to play it. He only wanted a drum from Santa so when it was extremely late, it wasn't worth keeping. Had to pay another $20 to send it back.

The conga drum was a bit hit with our 4-year old grandson. He started to bang on it right away.

Great high-quality drum, and I think my (nearly) 3yo will love it - but it's still too big and awkward for him to really carry it. He still likes to play it, if someone else holds it. My kids are fond of enacting marching bands, so I'm sure it will be used.

My sons are 1 and 3 and this drum works well for both of them. The younger one can stand and play it (it doesn't sound great because it is resting on the floor, but he doesn't care) and my older son uses the strap and parades around the house with it! My only complaint is that the strap loosens easily and slides around a lot, making it difficult to position.

I purchased this for my 5 year old grandson. It's sturdy and the range of sounds seem quite "professional". The only drawback is that the strap seems to slip off his shoulder. It can also be held between his legs which is easier for him.

My daughter is 2.5 but large for her age (37 inches, 32 lbs) and we just got this for her for Christmas. She adores all drums and this is no exception. The drum is very well made with great sound, and I would've given it 5 stars if it weren't so heavy. The strap is rather long too. I cannot get it short enough to look like the image of the girl on the website, and it is very awkward for her to carry dangling at waist level. She still manages, and I'm sure in another year or so it will be fine, but the other thing is the drum doesn't make that much sound if it is on the floor, so it has to be carried or on its side to produce a lot of sound.

This drum was an authenic item we had not seen in "Child Size." We were impressed with the craftsmanship. The drum is manageable for a young child and will follow him through middle school. Our grandson enjoys creating rhythms with the drum. It is a delight to see him finding a new way to express his musical ability at such a young age.
