Miniature Music Boxes Reviews

Read For Small Hands Reviews

See inside and watch music in the making—music boxes are a fascination at any age. Holding the knob and turning the crank helps children develop the pincer grip, and refines small motor movement. The clear acrylic case covers all the moving parts of the instrument, except the handle. We've seen many variations on this design, and this is our favorite. 3¼"" x 2"" 1¼"" high. Base colors may vary. Please note: These are not ""wind-up"" music boxes which are wound and then listened to. The music only plays when the handle of the music box is turned. The music tempo will vary with the speed of which the handle is cranked. We have seasonal tunes available here.

I had a music box as a child, and these are just like the one I had. My boys love to play the music!

These made good stocking stuffers, and they could be found in different parts of the house, to pick up and play a tune!

I got this for my 5 yr. old grandaughter. She loves it! She's intrigued by small things anyway and loves watching the movement go along with the sound.

I got one of these for my 3 year old and my 5 year old for Christmas thinking they might think they were sorta cool and they LOVE THEM. Such a simple little gift and I think they ended up being the boys' favorite Christmas gifts.

A sweet, neat musical toy which is fascinating for kids interested in seeing how things work. The crank knob can be very hard for kids to turn, and it won't play if the knob isn't moved around smoothly. My 5 year could play it with a little guidance and practice, but my less patient 6 year old couldn't.

Just what I ordered. Love the tune! You can see the little tines as they slide over the nubs on the roller. Sturdy. The box and crank are a little small for very tiny or large hands to use easily, but not much of a draw back. A little larger would make it easier to operate for small children or for adults with limited abilities.

Great for promoting fine motor skills and pincer grip. Pleasant tunes for adult ears. Great Xmas stocking stuffer.

I had one of these as a kid and was correct in assuming my own children would love it as well. My engineering-minded nephew also got one and is so intrigued by it. The sound is great, the construction is solid and turning the crank is great practice for small motor skills.
