We used this book for 7-year old boys who enjoy drawing. They were interested and learned quite a bit. The story was a little young for them (cats, frogs, bugs, etc. instead of superheroes), but I noticed them using the book later on their own so there must have been enough challenge for them.

This book is a very cute collection simple scenes and instructions for drawing them. The objects (cat, boat, house, etc.) are each broken down into a set of step-by-step illustrated instructions. Very good for youngsters interested in learning to draw. My 6- and 4-year-olds really like it.

I got this for my 8-year-old son who likes to draw cartoons (inspired at first by the Wimpy Kid books), and he likes it - but so does my almost-4-year-old daughter who loves to draw. It is also nicely designed and well-made.
