How to Raise an Amazing Child" helped me understand the Montessori philosophy, which happily matches my own. Two of my four grandchildren attend a Montessori preschool, so I understand the school better now. "Amazing Child" gave me ways of calming them when I'm babysitting (ages 2-1/2 through 7). "Amazing Child" also reminded me how much children are capable of; they love it when grandma lets them do things!
