Young children might assemble a 5' 6"" skeleton with these x-rays or guess which body parts belong to which bones. Many counting and comparison opportunities for older children. Includes 18 images printed on heavy, transparent plastic and resource page with activity suggestions. Ages 5+.

I am pleased with my purchase of the True-To-Life Human Xrays. I now have grandkids old enough to have mishaps while playing which includes an occasional broken bone. They are also old enough to understand the concept of an x-ray and able to identify the body's larger bones. The x-ray films are sturdy enough to handle being held by curious grandchildren. I received my purchase in a reasonable time frame.

This is a set of realistic human x-rays that are a little smaller than most adults. They use traditional x-ray film and exceptional fidelity. They are sturdy and can last forever. They do require some type of backlight or can be hung on a window. They are appropriate for all ages but an adult or older child must know a little about the human skeleton and provide interpretation. For a child who is interested in the human body or is dreaming about a career in medicine, they are very exciting in part because they are true-to-life and not a plastic recreation. They can be compared with a model of a human skeleton or with animal x-rays.

My 4yr old granddaughter got these for Christmas and unfortunately fractured her radius this week and told the doctor all about her X-rays! She loves learning about her bones and maybe one day we will have an orthopedist!

Daughter recommended catalog as 4 year old grandson attends Montesorri School and she likes the products. School also received a credit for purchasing through catalog. Grandson loves the xrays and has them hung up in his room. Sparked lots of discussion and further exploration of his body. As a kindergarten teacher, I found these to be extremely interesting and would consider purchasing for my classroom use. Great website, easy to naviagate and order, and delivery and item as promised. Definitely will recommend Small Hands to parents and colleagues.

My daughter has always loved playing "hospital." Now that she is in 1st grade, her play is becoming more sophisticated. These X-rays are an excellent addition to her doctor kit, and the stethescope we bought for her from For Small Hands last year! She and her friends love to pretend they have broken bones. I hope to keep these around for a long time as she grows in to her teenage years and has to learn the skeletal system. They are very durable and have a paper backing (which we are keeping with the set) to protect them.

I ordered this with the book Bones, and my niece (and her father) love it. The perfect gift for a bright, curious 6-year-old! I will definitely use this as a gift for my other nieces and nephews as they become ready to explore.
