Nice birthday gift for my five year old granddaughter. She loves it and can read it easily (she wants it to go up to 5 inches!)

Mounted on a post in front of my ranch house. Easy to read from the driveway, so I don't have to walk out to it and get my boots wet. Only drawback is that sometimes birds like to perch on it (and do their business in the funnel). But previous gauges were the same, so not a fault of the gauge.

With the rain we have gotten we have enjoyed checking the amount with our rain gauge. We have mounted on our fence so it is even easier to read from the house. The large numbers are very handy and the marker ring does make things easy. I can see our family getting years of use out of this product.

Nice and big so you are able to see from your window. It becomes a little lopsided when it's raining so it's not standing up straight to capture all the rain. Probably better if you put it on the fence.
