We take this tool on all adventures, plus it is used around the house to examine EVERYTHING! Focus is always perfect. It was such a hit with my 2 1/2 year old grandson that he now gives it as a birthday gift to his friends. One great bonus is that the lens is plastic which means if it gets left outside it will not cause a fire like a glass lens. Best educational tool ever! Also great for seeing that tiny sliver you've been trying to get out of your skin.

As an early childhood educator, I loved the guaranteed success of this magnifier- but underestimated how long it would keep my 2 and a half year old grandson engaged and looking more closely at things around the house and am certain that he'll love it when he can get outside with it.

Perfect size for my 4 year old to inspect things (fingers were very popular Christmas morning). Also big (and durable) enough for my almost 2 year old to inspect his toys. Wonderful magnifyer.
