This phonebook opens to large photos of various machines - construction vehicles, farm vehicles, utility vehicles, boats, planes, etc. Wonderful book addition for any child (boy or girl) who is fascinated with cars, trucks, tractors, and things that go and "do" things. Great detail.

I bought each of my grandsons, aged 2 1/2 and 1 1/2, a copy of this book for Christmas. Their parents tell me it is a favorite with both of them. The boys like it read repeatedly and especially like the way the pages open out to show how big the equipment is.

This book is fun to use, with fold out pages that young kids like. Older kids and adults may also learn some new facts. The pictures show the machines at work, which leads to good discussion.

My 4 y/o son really likes the book, however, the pictures where the machines are shown "at work" don't really show them doing much. The work scenes are quite jumbled, without a clear purpose to what they are doing. I like it because my son is interested, and he can see a lot of different kinds of machines, but I would prefer less machines and more detail. I thought it would be something at and above his level, but there is only enough words/detail to satisfy a younger or less interested child. My son is always asking questions about the machines which are not answered in the book.
