A little too broad for my 2 1/2 y o grandson. Illustrations are accurate, but too detailed for young children. More about different types of homes, not as much about how they are built. I was expecting a book geared for young children anticipating a new home / location showing the care put into building their home, bedroom, kitchen, etc. I'd recomment to 8-12 yr olds who are really into carpentry.

My son is very into construction and building right now and this is currently his favorite book. He loves listening to the occupational titles of all the workers involved in the house building process and anticipating the next step--"When are they going to paint.
