This was a birthday gift for our 1 year old. He was immediately fascinated with the little race cars - as was my husband. He practices placing the cars at the top and watching them go the ramp. As time goes on he is learning how to place the cars correctly as we discuss color, sounds and numbers. It has not lost his attention as it is a toy he returns to several times throughout the week. He has even started using the ramp for his ball collection!

My one and a half year old grandson enjoys playing with this for brief periods, which is about as long as he plays with anything.

The quality is excellent and my nephew loved this gift. He is only 18 months old but it was easy for him to figure out.

We gave this to a grandson for his second birthday. It quickly became his favorite toy, and continues to be as he approaches age four. Since then, we have bought it for other kids, with the same results. It's appeal, I think, is that it is very simple and straightforward to use, with no "parts" to it except the little cars that are controlled by the child. There's a little bit of problem-solving involved, as the child learns how to set the cars on the track so that they fall down, and how to free them in case they get "stuck" at a turning point. These are things that a kid can easily figure out independently. No batteries, nothing to plug in, no adult help required. It makes a pleasant noise that's not a pain for others in the household to hear but still is attractive to the child and appropriate to the cars falling down the chutes. The colors are perfect - enough to define the different chutes, but not garish. Also, it is extremely tough and lasts forever. This is a hand-me-down toy!
