Five year old boy was excited about this immediately. He spent a few hours working with it right away. A great product. The color are beautiful and vibrant. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous set of blocks. Love the case and the pattern cards, although our 2 year old is just playing with them without trying to match patterns. I think this toy will grow with her.

This item is a "free shelf" choice in a Level 3 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium where natural materials are important. The puzzle choices range from fairly easy (contemplative) to quite challenging (patience-building). Sometimes the children run out of time and do not finish the card. Because it is so interesting, the adult helpers are always very willing to "make it beautiful" for the next person after the children leave. Gorgeous product!

I had this in mind for my son for a few months and left the catalog out to remind my husband to look though it before we placed an order. My son asked if he could look through too, and ended up asking for this himself! He's 3 1/2 and loves to play with this. I explained to him and showed him how to "read' the cards so he knows which colors go where to make the patterns supplied. He loves that he can play by himself, but loves it even more when Dad or I "help" him by asking 'what's next' after every placement. So far, and it's only about a month old, it has held up well to repeated use. Even the board has withstood being banged around and sat upon. I would have loved a little bag for the cards, like the one for the board and bars. The cards came in sets of 10 wrapped in paper bands, and now are scattered and loose and must be tracked down at the end of the day. Their own little permanent place would be great.
