A favorite for years, this absorbing activity stimulates children to find and match shapes and then discover the way shapes go together to make designs and pictures.Encourages counting, sorting, and manual dexterity skills. Includes 32 plastic, colored design tiles (½"" - 1"") in six geometric shapes and a set of increasingly challenging two-sided pattern cards (7¾"" x 5"").Mighty Mind originated way back in 1978 based upon B.F. Skinner's (the Harvard behaviorist) development of linear programming and is a unique scientifically developed program.According to the manufacturer, after completing the 30 connected steps, a child will develop enough critical analytical thinking skills to be able to solve a 64-piece jigsaw puzzle. Parents' Choice Gold Award.Need more pieces? 32 Replacement Tiles (Y309), suitable for Mighty Mind and/or Super Mind, are also available.

Great for stretching children's skills and understandings. I'll be purchasing an add on.

I expect my 3 year old to return to this again. The first time she completed 6 levels. She did not grasp the idea that the proper tiles are laid out and then incorporated into the design. But who cares?

THis was a gift to my daughter, a new kindergarten teacher, for her classroom. Great gift to learn shapes and spatial enhancement.

I used this "toy" with my daughter 35 years ago, now I'm using it with my granddaughter.

This was disappointing, first because I expected and would have liked to have more of the tiles (what if there were a small group playing with the pieces or what if tiles are lost?); secondly, the picture in the advertisement led me to think all the boards were indented trays which would help to keep the pieces together. I like the concept and would like it better if my expectations had been met.

Creative design. Good fundamentals for young minds to think creatively. Highly recommended. Just don't lose the pieces.
