Bushnell has now added a Slope feature to this upgraded device which offers more precise compensated distances to account for a hole’s incline or decline. Slope Technology can also be simply disabled which makes the Phantom 2 Slope legal for tournament play.

“As this was on a special offer, it looked like good value so I bought one. Easy to use but initially my home course calibration was hopeless with only two holes showing the hazards etc. correctly. However, I called the UK Helpline and got through to Rowan who has been extremely efficient and helpful. He liaised with the USA office and my rangefinder was updated within a day or so. There are still two holes which are not showing correctly but I'm sure that will be sorted out. The question remains whether I can have full confidence with it when playing a course with which I am not familiar. We'll see.”
