Really pleased with these, good fragrance, the soap bars are huge! Glad I bought the soap dish to accomodate them.

Very, VERY, disappointed in the soap. I first bought savon de Marseille in the 1970s, in France, and particularly loved the HIGHLY SCENTED honeysuckle variety. Later, with a French boyfriend (from Marseille) I was introduced to vervaine. And latterly, pre-Brexit I was delighted to find a local gift shop that sold my highly scented honeysuckle soap, sadly no longer available. Before even using it, it would fill my bathroom with honeysuckly scent. Your soap has hardly any discernable scent - I assume the fragrance ingredient is the 28% that would normally be 'fabrique en provence' - and hence absent from you product that is only 72% made in Provence. I expect scented soap to be properly scented. I am so disappointed, as I'd thought I'd finally found my favourite soap at last. So wrong.

Bonjour Doreen, Thanks for your review. When the weather is cooler the scent is less fragrant than in warmer weather. As a company our focus is on the quality of fragrance and quality of formulation and ethics of the savonneries we work with. When referring Soaps from Provence, the 72% refers to the 'net' plant oil content once the soaps are finished and ready to use. To be labelled 'Fabrique en Provence' the soaps need to be made in Provence and test results must demonstrate a minimum of 72% plant oils in the finished product, those we stock test far higher than this. Please do contact us privatley if you would like to discuss further. FS x
