“I'm very happy with my OS27 mill. A very good mill for the beginner. How ever I do have one small problem, in certain weather conditions I get sawdust freezing onto the back track. I tried fastening a strip of tarp over the leading roller to the upright on the back side of the carriage, this worked quite well to keep sawdust off of the track.”
“I shopped around for 3 weeks looking at various mills before purchasing my OS27. This model stood above the rest for various reasons.
1. Adjustable blade guides allow you to make the blade width narrower and therefore more controlled on smaller cuts. Other models in this price range do not have this so this was a benefit.
2. The infinite adjustable blade height is useful because you can cut any board thickness you would like.
3. Price wise this mill offered a 23 inch guide to guide cut in a $3200 package...This was a really big factor in terms of value.
4. Support is EXCELLENT. Don't believe me? Call them up and talk to them..Frontier missed a water valve in my package and replaced a bend blade guide within 24 hours. The support is excellent and frankly it has to be to maintain business. When i upgrade to a wide slab cut mill I will certainly be buying NOORWOOD again.”
