“If you're looking at reviews, here's what you probably want.
1. Is it as sturdy as a Yeti koozie? I'd say the FB metal is a hair lighter gauge, but I haven't found that it makes a material difference.
2. Does it beat the other multi-size double-wall steel koozies available? Yes, the FB design is superior to any of the others, and I looked high and low before buying. Their designs are just so much more thoughtful than many of the competitors too. Never have I found myself asking "why did they do it this way" or "why didn't they do ___", which is honestly quite rare these days. I've found their QC and the tolerances to be excellent as well.
3. How is the cooling compared to Yeti and others? FB does an excellent job keeping stuff cold, but I have to assume it's slightly less efficient at insulating simply because more of the space is taken up by metal (by necessity because of the insert) than the yeti koozies, which have more vacuum and air space, which is less conductive. In my testing, FB still keeps my drinks cold a very long time; certainly longer than I require, which is the most important thing to me. Honestly, I don't think my drink would get warm in ANY of these types of koozies, so I'd call any potential differences negligible and inconsequential.
Here are the other reasons I think Frost Buddy is superior to all other steel, double-wall vacuum insulated koozies. (1) the people who run it are incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and fast to respond (2) they clearly have a big lead in the multi-size koozie space, and despite their lead, they keep innovating in a thoughtful manner - that's a great sign about the company's staying power (3) their accessories aren't just afterthoughts - they too are thoughtful and well engineered (something that often isn't the case.) (4) They have partnerships with the major US sports leagues (NFL, MLB, etc) and a new contract to sell their stuff in Dicks Sporting Goods -- again, these are both great signs for the company's longevity.
I honestly never thought I'd go away from my Yeti and Orca koozies. Since I finally gave in any tried Frost Buddy, I've placed 2 more large orders with them, and I have started giving away my Yetis and Orcas (while also recommending Frost Buddies to my other friends who are frequent koozie users.)”
