“Overall it did what I wanted. Packaging was perfect. It was easy to install. Putting it together prior to install was another thing. I was lucky and found a decent video on how to put it together. The directions were lacking. It definitely needs two people if you get a larger awning. Quality is great, assembly was doable, install was fine. Price was OK.”

“I had wanted to install awnings over the entrance doors of my 1950s home which had been designed with them, but had been removed by a previous owner. The General Awnings product was exactly what I was looking for. The product arrived in days instead of weeks. The colors were accurate in person to the depiction online. Assembly was not easy for the unskilled. I have extensive experience interpreting plans and access to a wide variety of tools, if you don't it may be out of your ability. I spread a large area rug on my driveway to avoid scratches on the slats. Use gloves, all edges are sharp. The actual install on the house requires at least 2, ideally 3 people. I am very pleased with the final results and would buy again or recommend the product to others.”
