“This was my fifth awning purchase from General Awnings, so I knew what to expect for assembly and installation. The quality and fit is very good and assembly fairly easy for those with mechanical skills. The awning's slate color is an almost perfect match to our exterior siding and the awnings do a great job of keeping the rain away from the house, which was their intended purpose. For the smaller awnings, installation can be accomplished with a single person, but for the larger bulkier awnings a second pair of hands is probably necessary.”

“I found the assembly and mounting of the awning by myself fairly simple and clear-to-follow steps using the enclosed instructions. I do wish the web site gave the necessary height clearance above a door or window lintel for mounting above a door or window. I had to move the upper horizontal rail as high as possible in order to clear the vertical sidewings. If you view the photo below, you can see that I had practically 3/8" of space available of vertical clearance. I could not move the awning assembly further to the right, because the right sidewing was mounted at a wall edge.”
