Very well engineered unit and constructed of high quality materials. Fairly easy for a decent home-handyman to install. I went back and ordered an extra set of all the plastic fittings for future replacement as the originals weather over time, as I expect the basic awning to last quite a long time. If I needed another awning, I'd surely consider one of these Titans.

These things are huge. Got these to protect two large sets of concrete block steps that were being washed out by rainfall where roof gutters won’t work. Needed a contractor to install these, a great team we’ve used before. They found installation more complicated than they’d bargained for. They also had concerns as to how they would hold up to the snow and ice load, especially where the units would be out of the sun for much of the day and were so large. So far, they’ve held up for one fairly mild winter. They look attractive, are doing the job of protecting the stairs. This is the second order for this awning. We have the small version over a door to protect the door from sun & rain damage. It’s been working well and allowed me to go longer between needing additional door recoating. There’s far less fading & water damage at the bottom half of the door. Only problem is the plastic yellowing, and two of the brackets holding the downspout seem to have split.

I’ve had the canopy up for several months through our rainy season and it worked great! I like it so much I’m buying a second one to attach to it. It’s a great product, sturdy yet light weight. Be aware that you can move the support arms to wherever you need to attach to the studs. My contractor put it up with several two by fours to secure it and I’m having to have it redone and remove those boards now that I know those boards are not necessary and they looked awful. I think the instructions could be a lot more clear and maybe we wouldn’t have had to go through such a hassle. But overall I really like the product and it was the best solution I could find to block sun and rain.

Titan Canopy was the only product that met my need for a transparent awning to cover the 4' extension of my porch of 12' in length. My contractor had no problem mounting the two canopies that I purchased to fill the space. The product is well made and looks terrific. The people at General Awning were very helpful. My only disappointment is there is no longer a product that joins the two separate canopies together. Gen Awning first told me it was on back order so I delayed my purchase. When I called back I was told the part was discontinued because the manufacturer of this piece was not providing the product of sufficient quality. My contractor fabricated a piece of metal to join the two, but I do get droplets. Fortunately it is at the very end of the gutter face so it is not on the deck.

Terrible waste of time and money! Worsts engineering ever! Wish I would have built my own instead of trying to save time.
