This is a game changer...you really have to see it to believe it. The projected directions look cool and futuristic on the windshield and is visible even in bright sunlight. Thinking of getting another one for my wife's car.

I tried Navdy first but hated how the device and the projected screen shook when I drove. Because of the way Hudly attaches to your car, I had no problems with device shake and directions are even crisper on Hudly's display. Highly recommend.

You may have seen my Youtube reviews over head-up displays like Navdy and Hudly. I love HUDs and I've been very invested in the technology since I first saw it being used in consumer vehicles. I can without a doubt say that the Hudly is the best option. The ability to mirror your phone and to utilize any apps while you're driving is simply phenomenal. The windshield mounting vs the dash mounting is fantastic, too, because it allows you to have a screen that isn't constantly vibrating and to customize the location.

Initially no OBD2 data came through, only a prompt to connect the phone. Fine, connected my phone, and "trusted" the interface, but no picture on the screen. Thankfully after re-connecting to the vehicle a few hours later, I was able to see the speedometer on the OBD2 display. Pretty much all I can do now is show OBD2 data on the screen (SPEED, RPM, Temperature, etc...), the iPhone "adaptor" (red cable) does not function. If I want to view my phone screen I would have to pay Apple an additional $49 for their HDMI adaptor. I have this mounted on a Ford Edge windscreen, left of the driver per the template. Glass reflector comes to eye-level when projector is mounted just below the dot-matrix windscreen tinted edge. I would prefer the image lower on the windscreen, maybe a reflector with a different focal length to allow further distance from projector to reflector? Jumble of Wires is too much, need to integrate this into a more manageable mess. Get a usable iphone adaptor. Are there any firmware updates planned? How would one update the unit after the fact? The miniUSB connector, Is it compatible with a PC port? is it 12V Only? YouTube reviews do not really show the obstacles to get this working. Nice attempt, but needs refinement to make it more adoptable. I will just pass this down to my son and move to one of the other alternatives.
