“Eduard PE set for Tamiya's Series IIa Land Rover 'Pink Panther' consists of two largeish PE frets and dashboard dials on a printed transparent film. The PE frets contain numerous items that replace the original plastic parts in the kit. Some of these are useful, others not quite so. Useful parts include radiator grille, ammunition boxes, used cartridge case collectors, smoke discharger details, sand compases, sand channels, radio box etc. Less useful are a plethora of small details which are extremely fiddly to manipulate (bend and position) and don't really add that much to the finished model (and will probably result in raised blood pressure during their application). A case in point are the tie-down points on the bodywork sides. These end up being hidden by the sand channels hung on the side of the vehicle. So it's really up to the modeller to decide what to add and what to leave on the fret. The dials printed on the transparent film add good detail to the model.”
