“Okay, here is a far-and-few-between "Karen" moment for me... because I try not to complain often, but after being very patient with customer service, I am finally annoyed. ♀
I have been wearing tape-ins from another brand for 2 years without an issue. I wanted to try out the invisi tapes GS offers, so when my last set was ready to be replaced, I ordered some. I was immediately impressed by how soft and beautiful the hair was! I had them installed by my stylist... the same certified stylist who has successfully been installing my extensions for 2 years... and they looked amazing! A week later, it was time to wash my hair, so I did my usual extension-safe routine that has worked for me to 2 years (trial and error and I feel like I've become an expert ... I can usually wear my extensions for 9 weeks, and only actually have to move-up because my hair grew... if hair didn't grow, I could probably go several weeks longer! ), and while I was rinsing my hair out, I felt one slide down my leg... looked down, and the whole shower floor was covered in hair. The ENTIRE head of extensions (minus 2 that my stylist removed and retaped with her retapes to reposition during application, since those ones were stuck just the way the should be). It was traumatizing seeing all the hair down on the floor like that. So one week after initial application, I was having to have them re-installed and paid ANOTHER installation fee, which SUCKED, because it is not cheap. I contacted Glam Seamless customer service, and they offered no relief, other than some hair care freebies, valued around $20, when I was out $130 for a second reapplication I never should have had do. Anyway, long story short, the hair is amazing, the original adhesive is CRAP... buy the hair if you want it, and retape them before initial application... my stylist used her own retapes from a different brand, so I'm not sure I would trust this company's retapes either after going through this with the original tapes. I have chosen to give one star based off the response I received when I emailed them hoping they would make it right and they chose not to. They continuously let me know that "slippage is not covered under their policy"... even though I would not consider the ENTIRE head of extensions completely coming out as "slippage". As a business owner myself, I would have tried harder to make it right... even my stylist gave me a discounted rate on reinstallation because she felt bad that I had to come back after just one week (it was actually 6 days), even though it wasn't her fault that this happened... based off of mine and my stylist's track record with my tapeins over the last 2 years, I do not believe this to be user error, and 100% the faulty adhesive... I did purchase 3 sets in 2 different colors, so this is more than just an isolated defect because every.single.one fell out, and I believe this is something that would be experienced across the entire line. For reference, I have 2 sets of Dark Brown, and 1 set of Natural Black. I gave this situation a couple weeks before submitting my review to give customer service time to rectify the situation, but since they chose not to, here I am to let you know the good, the bad and the ugly.”
