“The knives cut well enough so far. My main problem is with the handles. The chef knife feels so empty in my hand, especially in the pinch grip, which I use 90 percent of the time. The way the handle ramps down to the blade means that there isn't any handle thickness forward in my hand when pinching the blade with my index and thumb. The smaller knife of the two has a handle that is uncomfortable in every hold, I don't understand it at all and can barely stand to use it. The knives look cool but I'm disappointed as I did intend to use them a great deal as I cook multiple meals daily, but I've been gravitating to my old workhorse chef knife that cost a third as much as these but is so much more comfortable and secure in my hand. Bourdain's book led me wrong, but now that I think about it, I mostly remember him talking about how cool the knives looked lol. I'm just a ham-handed amateur cook though, so, what do I know?”
“I love my new knives I don’t know why I waited so long to get them, they are very sharp and not heavy at all. If you thinking to get these knives don’t hesitate you will not be disappointed.”
“Top notch quality. I have been cooking more in the last few years and Global knives have been such a solid investment. My wife and I now gift these knives because they last so long. It might be another 10 years before we need new ones. Maybe never... Make sure to keep them sharp!”
