Great little knife. Very thin but sturdy. Very sharp!! I’ve only had it a week but use it almost everyday. Japanese knives are always top notch!!

This is a quality little knife. It’s little. The blade isn’t deep enough to make it much use in a commercial setting. Pinch grip is the only comfortable way to use the handle appropriately, but then you have lost half your blade. Full wrap around the handle with your fingers now has made your fingers thicker than the blade relief. So maybe someone with very small hands will find this fitting. But any adult that doesn’t have freakishly small hands will not find it comfortable for regular use. It is a great quality little knife though.

I bought the GF-33 Chef knife this spring, and I like it so much, that I went back to Global for some overdue upgrades. The 6" Utility arrived razor sharp. I use it for vegetable and soft item prep. Ceviche, salsa....Easily slices ripe home-grown tomatoes. It is light, less than half the weight of a chef knife, but does not flex. It has a significant curve. The handle is shorter, and has a flat, broad back. It forces my hand to stay on top. Ideal for dicing through the vegies. I wouldn't use it to chop. That's what the battle-axe chef knife is for. This is a very useful complementary tool.
