“Assembly was fairly easy, I used a timber mallet rather than the rubber one suggested. The only small issue I had was that the plastic feet are a bit flimsy.”
“I opted for the Gorilla shelving as the bench was included in the options.
When I ordered it online I was given a set delivery date a few days later, but the shelves and bench turned up separately over 2 days?
The bench arrived first, and shelves the following day via a different courier.
The packaging around the bench parts didn’t seem as good as the shelving packages as the bench mdf boards had slightly dented corners on one panel.
I turned them upside down to hide corner scuffs. It may have been down to bench courier as package looked a bit dented in places.
The shelves and bench were simple to put together.
Some of the holes in the racks needed widening with a screwdriver to allow them to clip together due to paint on them, but they are a good system for storage and look strong enough.
The bench was worth opting for in the different package options.
Gorilla were quick to respond when I emailed about the missing shelves when bench turned up. I would buy from them again.”
“Whilst only just completing the construction of the racking and the work bench, I found it was considerablely easier to put together the work bench where studs on the cross members slot into keyholes in the legs, where as the racking requires tabs to be inserted into slots in the legs which can be (understandably) very tight. However with time and patience the construction was satisfactorily completed, the end result seems fine, only time will tell if the product will hold up to the rigours of practical use, and I have no reason believe that won't happen”
