“I ordered the cufflinks and paid a considerable amount extra for two-day shipping and "expedited processing," which ostensibly ships within "24 business hours (Monday-Friday)." I received neither of these things.
Groomsshop cheaped out on the shipping by not using weekend shipping, so it actually was 4-5 day shipping.
But the expedited processing was worse. One would think from the quoted language that it meant shipping within 24 hours, so long as it was a weekday. But when I called to complain after I learned my cufflinks shipped nearly three days after I placed the order, I was told that "business hours" meant an 8-hour workday. So, expedited processing really meant processing within three-days. Funny enough, that's actually Groomsshop's standard shipping time. So my product would have shipped at the SAME TIME if I hadn't paid extra for expedited shipping.
In short, Groomsshop is selling a service (expedited shipping) that doesn't exist. There's another word for that: fraud.
Practically speaking, this delay (and Groomsshop's deceptive marketing) meant that I didn't have cufflinks to give to my groomsmen for my wedding. We had to scramble and pay a hefty sum to get other cufflinks.
I understand that mistakes can happen. If my order got lost and Groomsshop had at least refunded the amount I paid for expedited processing, I would have been fine. But Groomsshop told me on the phone that this practice was intentional. Groomsshop is deceptively selling a service that doesn't exist. And for that, I am going to file a complaint. ,”
