Detachable plates with handles allow for certain grips to be performed easier with the dumbells as well as lightening if a particular motion is too difficult, while also allowing the plates to be used by themselves for other exercises. The plates themselves had a few bumps/marks but does not have adverse effects.”

“easy to use and easy to store, the quick release locks are a bit stiff but you get used to it :) definitely handy for those living in apartments as they take up little space, can be adjusted to multiple different combinations, and the plates themselves can be used separately. great set for beginners”
