“There are several FID benches in the market with arm and leg curl attachments but the Gym Direct ASFID bench has the lowest height of the lot, in the flat bench configuration. Usually, benches with arm and leg curl attachments are made taller than ones without so that these attachments can clear the floor. So when these benches are in their flat bench configuration, they are usually 52-55cm in height above the ground, which can be a problem for those of shorter stature like myself (170cm), as my feet would not be flat on the ground when I am lying flat on the bench. The ASFID bench is only 48cm tall in the flat bench configuration and my feet are flat on the ground when I am lying horizontally on it, which helps in stability during workouts. e.g. Bench Presses. The bench is also very well built with heavy gauge steel and the back pad is well supported by double steel column bracing - no side to side rocking like those (cheaper benches) with only a single back column brace. The only two criticism (one very minor) is the price which has increased post-Covid - The dreaded Covid Tax and I wish it came in Black. But overall I am very happy with my purchase and the service provided by Gym Direct.”
