Muscle Motion 50cm Spin lock Olympic Dumbbell Handles - DIY Reviews

4.7 Rating 7 Reviews
Really solid and sturdy. Great to be able to reuse existing Olympic plates. The spin lock glides really smoothly and is surprisingly quick to take on and off. But doing dumbbell snatches with them over my head is no worry since the thread it so long I’m not worried about plates accidentally coming off. Being all metal they are better than those plastic adjustable ones dominating the market.

The nuts hold the weights on tight, feels as sturdy as a fixed weight dumbbell, just longer. Saves money on buying more weights

Professional quality but they DO NOT SPIN. The same as the dumbbells I have used at California's World Gym. A pro there had them loaded to 80kg each side. They are long for that reason ( huge 50cm long). These ones DO NOT SPIN. If you want spinner's don't buy these ones.

To be honest, these are very good for what you pay and very little else on offer I could see that is a spin lock olympic dumbbell. The issues are minor and don't greatly affect the use of the bars at all and they are; small sharp burrs on the collars from the machining process (easily enough removed), inconsistent knurling on the collars (some grip o.k, others very well), machining on the threads is also inconsistent (which meant a tight fit for the plates on one end, but only a minor inconvenience). Definitely happy though and would recommend.
