“Brushing my daughter’s hair was an absolute dreaded nightmare. The drama of doing it was so great, I’d sometimes just have to put it up without brushing properly only for it to be so much worse the next day of course. And on weekends I’d give myself a break, only to have an excruciating Sunday evening, spending an hour or more.
My 11 y o daughter has Aspergers and has an extremely sensitive head - apparently the slightest little tug is painful, & I just have to spend sooo long doing it carefully or she just won’t let me. Well, I was cautiously optimistic when the package arrived & tried to get her interested - she just looked at it with disdain :) I started by very gently brushing my daughter’s hair while she was reading….she didn’t complain! After a while - not wanting to seem too interested - she even picked it up to have a look at it - & tried it herself on her scalp! She had to begrudgingly admit that it didn’t hurt and that it even felt quite nice.
I can genuinely say this brush has made a huge difference to what used to be an extremely dramatic & time consuming task.
Now, 4 weeks later my daughter will often say she can brush her hair herself, and this morning she actually did her own hair for school - probably for only the 3rd or 4th time ever. It doesn’t sound much for an 11 y o girl of course, but for us it is huge! Very happy.”
