“This was bought for my 8-year-old nephew who has ASD and ADHD. He suffers from severe eczema on his scalp and is extremely sensory and cannot take the feeling of anything or anyone touching his head. No water on the head meaning very limited hair washing or eczema treating, no one can touch his head and hair cuts are a painstaking process that we start preparing him for months in advance. By the time we get to cut his hair, one side of his head has a huge bed head birds nest and has to be done over the period of a few day because the cannot take the noise or feeling of electric clippers and can only tolerate the sensations and sounds that scissors create for a couple of minutes. The finished product never looks too great but the bed hair is tamed for another few months and the hair is out of his eyes. When I told my family about he purchase they all said I had wasted my money and that there would be no way he would let it anywhere near his head. When it arrived, we all tested it out we all wanted to keep it for ourselves but were eager to put it to the ultimate test. When I gave it to my nephew, I thought he was going to throw it back at me and get upset. He was very hesitant at first but we got him to brush it down his arm first so he could feel how soft and nice it felt. He smiled at the feeling and so I asked if I could gently brush his hair. Cautiously he let me place the brush on the top of his head and I softly ran it done the hair on the back of his head. We all crossing our fingers and holding our breath, hoping that maybe he would just tolerate it. But his reaction was far beyond what we could have ever have wished for and he snatched the brush out of my hand, yelled "MINE" and started brushing his own hair, with his eyes popping out of his head with excitement and a huge big open smile, stimming with his tongue flicking in and out of his mouth and his fingers on his other hand going crazy!! He uses his brush every morning and most nights will not allow anyone else to touch it or use it as it is his "Magic brush". I cannot express how amazing this brush is and the is no other item in this world that i would recommend as highly as this brush. This brush could cost hundreds of dollars and I would still buy it and recommend it to everyone, especially those with sensory issues and sensitive skin. No words can describe the feeling and sensation you get using this brush, you really do have to try it for yourself and i guarantee it will the best purchase you have ever made!!!”
“We previously purchased the regular happy hair brush, and although it was a bit better then our other brush, it was still painful and a battle to brush the 4 yr old hair.
Jenny kindly sent us the sensory brush and we noticed a HUGE difference.
No screaming, pulling or pain!
Now she even brushes her hair herself!”
“I bought this brush for my granddaughter who has problems every day with her curly hair. I read the reviews and thought it would help. Now we have trouble getting the brush out of her hand”
“I can not believe how amazing these hair brushes are. We went from having a tantrum about hair brushing every day to having our little guy ask to brush his own hair. He has very fine, very curly hair and a super sensitive scalp. The sensory brush works so well for him, he loves it, it doesn't hurt him and the knots brush out first go, with no tugging or ripping out hair. I am so impressed. We have also noticed a lot less frizz and many more perfect ringlets since using the brush which is wonderful.”
“From the second my daughter started using the Happy Hairbrush she fell in love with it instantly. She was so surprised that brushing her hair didn’t hurt anymore! She brushes her own hair everyday now instead or me chasing her around trying to brush her hair only to get into a screaming match. Thank you happy hairbrush you’ve changed our lives for the better”
“We have a disabled granddaughter who absolutely hated getting her hair done, it’s thick and curly. She would pull away, push the brush away, cry and squirm .... not any more! She happily sits while we brush her hair, actually enjoying the experience. Something we all used to dread is now a HAPPY HAIRBRUSH experience. This may sound dramatic but it’s true, thank you for changing our life experience!”
“It was great to get a replacement brush but it would have been nice to have had my email acknowledged and responded too not just re or e a shipping confirmation.
Also we bought the brush for my son as he has long hair. Maybe the slogan needs more inclusive wording.”
