“We had arranged a sitter but very sadly our dog had to be euthanased - before the period when the sitter was due to start-when a tumour on his spleen was diagnosed and had bled out. The sitter was very understanding, and we wouldn't hesitate to use happy house Sitters if a future need arose.”
“Carmen and Robert were wonderful. They communicated quickly both prior and during their stay. Our doggie was very well looked after and loved the daily walks. The went above and beyond to leave our home spotless, cleaning windows, floors, kitchen and bathroom. They were an absolute delight and I have no hesitation in highly recommending them. “Michael did the very basics of what was asked. But when we returned there was a whole lot of cleaning and washing to do. We do not think he is a dog lover for a number of reasons which I won’t list here, and he did not seem to have experience of looking after a home - but at least the house was secure and the dogs were alive and well, and if that’s all one expected, it was fine. I’d see him more as in the role of a security guard in a building, doing the basics of security, but not someone who moved in to keep the house from gathering dust and love our pets similarly to what we would.”
“They bought a cat into our home for the full 8 weeks without our permission. We discovered the cat had been in the house after finding cat hair in our sheets. When confronted about it they lied and said the cat was there for just 2 weeks and provided an excuse why they brought the cat without our permission.
I reviewed our doorbell video footage and saw their cat was in our house for the full 8 weeks. They brought it in a cat carrier which was covered in a blanket to hide their deception.
When confronted by this they did not apologise or offer any remorse.
They also changed our cats diet without our permission. The cat is on satiety cookies that were recommended by our vet - we left enough cookies to last the full 8 weeks. I didn't mind them giving our cat some soft food, but they completely changed her diet. Gave her none of the cookes and fed her soft food daily then had the audacity to lecture us that we were not feeding her properly AND requested we pay them for the cat food they bought.”
