“The CJ Nelson Haven is a slick, durable board. Granted the length is 9’11” long, turning and maneuverability makes this “Thunderbolt” technology a very well manufactured board. Highly recommended brand!!”

“I didn't have much expectations for this board when my friend let me try his one day. I already had a 10'0 Neo Classic so I didn't think this board would "wow" me since the length and volume are similar but the first wave I caught, I knew I wanted one. This board paddles extremely well but it is also turns on a dime due to the edge in the tail and with the spooned out nose, getting up and perching on the nose is easy. What surprised me about this board the most is how it doesn't feel like a 9'11 when you're on a wave. The Neo Classic felt like a 10'0 and I always had to be mindful about the length. The reason for the difference, in my opinion, is the Haven's red construction vs the Neo's silver construction. The silver is meant to feel like volan, so it's super heavy, and the red, for me, is a lot better for these bigger 10ft boards. My go-to fin for this board has been the 10.5 parallax fin but I also used my 10in FCS II click fin, which worked well too.”
