Battery ones are fine but the initial brightness soon tapers off so I decided to buy one with a Lithium ion battery.
This one is superb? It charged in leeess than 3 hours from new and the various programmable lighting settings render it a very adaptable tool.
I live out in the countryside and have a large garden with chickens to look after; this headlight really does the business for me!
Less than ideal is the manual. It could be a little clearer, especially when describing the initial setup/programming.
The battery and light unit are built together which makes it a bit of a lump sitting on your forehead, a rear battery box wouldn't have been an issue for me and might help the unit feel a little more balanced.
Overall the unit does it's job very well; I think that the adage, "You get what you pay for" thoroughly applies to this purchase.”
