“it was a fairly easy and straightforward installation. I’ve never installed a grab bar before, but there’s a great template to make it very strong attached to the wall. I am a big guy with mobility issues and it’s very strong! The finish matches my bathroom exactly. The brush finish doesn’t show any fingerprints.”

“This grab bar is very robust. It has a nice grip to it and complies with bar diameter and wall clearance for the ADA. The finish is bright as well. It holds up to 500lbs if installed properly. I like the curved shape. It’s conducive to pulling yourself up. I am installing this bar in addition to some straight grab bars for the ultimate in flexibility. Screws are included but you need to be sure that you are installing directly into a stud or there is plywood backing between your studs and gypsum board to ensure you have a secure installation. Drill smaller test holes 1/8” or smaller to verify your wall’s substrate. If you hit studs, proceed with using the screws provided. If they are tough to screw in, rubbing the screws along a bar of soap can reduce the friction. I highly recommend, as does manufacturer, that you install into studs. Otherwise, this grab bar can loosen and pull out over time. If you are unsure, it’s worth hiring a handyman off an app to install professionally. Grab bars are a wonderful thing…if they are installed properly.”

“This crescent shaped grab bar by Healthcraft is a great design. Crafted from rust-resistant stainless steel, it's very and durable. Installation was fairly easy as we were comfortable drilling into the tile and knew where framing was located. This is a great shape to aid in getting up out of the tub and for stepping out of the shower. Its rounded shape makes it comfortable to grab and hold at different angles. With proper installation into solid wood, this has a really high weight capacity of 500 pounds. Way higher than most people need, but that limit gives a greater sense of security in use, especially for those with balance or mobility issues. I would feel great about installing this bar in a shower or bath area for an aged loved one.”

“I think I should have installed the grab bar a little lower. That's the only negative thing I have to say about this product. I only needed a level, drill bit, and drill. It was really easy and super sturdy. I literally held on and leaned back after putting it into place. It's not going anywhere.”
