“This has a refreshingly minty scent that helps wake you up and sharpen your senses first thing in the morning. I like using it after cleansing in the morning for this reason and to refresh my skin. As far as it goes it doesn’t appear to make much difference to my skin compared to any other toners but it’s still perfectly good to use and hasn’t irritated my skin at all”

“This is a good, slightly astringent toner, which leaves skin feeling fresh but not dried out. It has a herby fragrance which isn't too overpowering. Although it didn't make my spot-prone skin worse, I didn't see any improvements either on that front.”

“This product comes in a rigid bottle with a flow regulator in the top – this means you have to shake the bottle to get the product onto a cotton pad. The scent is quite strong – and made me think of ‘clinical cucumber’ - not unpleasant, but a little odd. I found it quite strongly astringent and definitely needed plenty of moisturiser afterwards. Don’t think this product is for me.”

“I liked the product, but unfortunately, it did bring me out in a couple of red patches. I had to use the night lotion by the same brand to calm my skin. There's a very faint scent, notably peppermint, which I think might have been the culprit! I have used it four times, night and morning, as I am hoping my skin will adjust. However, I have deducted a star. A shame, as it is a very good quality product. Yes, it's a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.”

“Very pleasant. It has a very subtle, slightly indistinct smell which is quite pleasant nonetheless. My partner says as a toner it applies very nicely and certainly keeps the skin pores unclogged. Recommended.”

“This toner is very mildly scented and light to use. It effectively removes last traces of makeup and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. You only need to use a little per use, which makes it good value, despite its price.”

“This toner has a mild peppermint fragrance which is pleasant and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. I have not seen any significant improvement since using this product (I have used twice a day for over a week) but having said that I am not dissatisfied with what I have been using previously and so I would say this is a positive for the product. I have had no adverse reactions to using it and my skin has continued to look clear of pores. I am a big fan of neem oil for benefitting the skin and so the addition of this may help those that need a product to aid with controlling oil and open pores.”

“This looks and smells good, and it certainly tones the skin, leaving it feeling clean and tight. I am a little concerned about the neem extract - which part of the neem tree does it comes from? Neem has a number of medicinal purposes from the bark, leaf and fruit. On Googling neem it appears its use is for fairly serious conditions, rather than gentle treatments. That said, this is a pleasant product to use, in a sophisticated bottle, and Herbal Essentials is a brand with a great reputation in skin care.”
