I used an awesome $25 off online coupon. I ordered it online on Friday and paid $40 expedited shipping. It arrived
on Tuesday, Ugh! So don't waste your money on that upgrade shipping if you're ordering it late in the week.
After viewing the helpful application video, I put in ponytail. The double ponytail you put your hair in is a great idea to get the high fountain look ponytail, but it's tight, very uncomfortable and very heavy after applying the bungee ponytail. The center hook in the piece you apply into your own ponytail elastic is small and difficult to apply (after trying to hold down the bulk of the weft to create the opening and clearance needed to hook in the piece).
So yeah, you're holding it down with ur thumb while trying to hook it into the elastic of your foundation bio ponytail. Not easy to do. Would be nice if center hook was bigger with opening already established. Then you turn upside down and wrap one bungee hook around then the other (think wrapping left side, then right side). Wrap a finishing piece around the ponytail base. I found it difficult to cleanly separate a piece to accommodate this. Finally it's on! NOW, it looks just like a FAKE costume ponytail and not much better then a velcro wrap ponytail (only velcro pony is HUNDREDS cheaper!) AND matching it to my top haircolor was a big mistake as my under layers are darker. The hair piece looked lighter, fake shinny and unbelievable as it being my real hair. SO, after again wasting my money investing in a very over priced Hidden Crown piece, needless to say I'm super disappointed. I am going to take to my hairdresser to adjust the haircolor. Yup, more money on something already so unbelievably expensive. I'm hoping adjusting the color to better match my bio hair, washing and air
drying will encourage the natural waving and layers to come out and look more natural. Nothing will change the
heaviness/tightness of wearing it, nothing makes it easier to apply, nothing justifies the preparation work needed to make the piece look believable, nothing justifies the expense of this piece. IMHO, if
this piece was priced around $100 and had a drawstring application option (you put your
bio hair in a pony and then small bun and wrap ponytail over your bun and pull drawstring around then put small jaw clip up under ponytail you easily get high pony look for much less work). I have found gorgeous quality wavy and straight human hair wefts or secret wire (I prefer a single clip in weft) on Etsy.com from Glamyouhair for $120 @18" length @100 grams weight. $200 will get you a hand made custom piece human hair 20"-24" length/200 grams/secret wire OR clip in weft (or combination of secret wire and a clip on each end for added security) in wavy or straight hair and color options. AND you can custom request the WIDTH of the piece.
I usually get a 13" wide piece so their are NO awkward openings/gaps between the piece and the hair in front of my ears (my piece fits in from temple to temple around my head, placed right above my ears). I also recently
purchased a 14" length human hair topper for $215 (compared to Hidden Crowns $450 price point). Lastly, I will
now custom order an 18" human hair wavy texture ponytail extension from Etsy from Glamyouhair to replace this
