“I am experiencing some hair thinning/balding on the top of my head and decided to order a topper based on the YouTube videos I watched. After trying my topper for a day I am extremely disappointed with the overall quality, look and feel of it. It looks fake, the color washed out when I wet it and it pulled my hair upon removal. I can’t get a refund now.”
“I am extremely please with my Crown Topper choices. I followed the video for cutting bangs was able to style my Crown Toppers to look like how I used to style my hair years ago. Before my hair started thining leaving me some spots very difficult to cover. Light weight and so easy to wear and very high quality in my opinion.”
“Color is great and hair is soft but there are a ton of small hairs that stick up even after wetting blow drying and flat ironing. The front part area does not sit flat on my head and seam is not dark so it's noticable.”
“So...unfortunately for me, female pattern baldness runs in my family. My hair has always been thin and fine and I was never able to wear the cute hair styles because it was always flat and there wasn’t enough hair to even style. I’m in my 30’s now and after having two kids and some issues with cysts on my ovaries, My hair loss has just escalated exponentially. My aunt, who is a hair dresser, suggested getting a topper a couple of years ago, but I was so nervous it would look obviously fake and silly. The past few months it has really been taking a toll on my self esteem and I would start crying every time I would try to do my hair for an event or when we were seeing friends. I felt like I always looked horrible. No matter what clothes I put on, no matter how well I did my make up. I spent hundreds on different skin care products thinking if I was able to have nice skin it would help. Nothing helped me feel better about my appearance, not even an ounce better. So today I got my crown topper and I also got the 14” day dream halo style extensions, both in a 1B, which was what the color match suggested after sending in my picture. The color matches absolutely perfectly. It’s pretty much my exact hair color. I didn’t realize how dark my hair was with all that scalp showing. I followed all the directions and got the extensions fitted, fluffed and set the part on my topper, and flat ironed everything. I put both pieces on and I instantly started to cry. For the first time in my life I looked in the mirror and thought “this is what I am supposed to look like....this is me”. I left the house to pick my kids up from daycare with no make up on, jeans, and a cheap Walmart tank top, and never felt so attractive and confident. So thank you hidden crown for giving me the opportunity to feel like the beautiful woman I always wanted to be. I would eventually like to get a set of clip ins so that I can play around with some up do’s, but I definitely need to replenish the funds before another splurge on hair. But the cost is worth it. Every penny.”
“Not dark enough to blend in with my natural hair color, so I intend on dying it a shade darker. Also, in florescent lighting at my work, you can see red tints and how light the brown really is, so I bought a dark brown with anti brass hair dye to help darken and neutralize the reds. There were also a few (but not noticeable) gray/silver looking hairs which I’m sure the dye can correct too, so not a big deal. (I thought that was interesting because one of the hair samples had a silver end too.) I was given a sample of the next darkest and lightest color but neither are a good match for me. (Black is the next darkest color, which wouldn’t match at all.) I’ve seen the videos and understand that the topper may come with a parting set in based on how the hair is stored before arriving and needs a little water and blow dryer heat to set a new parting in place, but I am still having trouble with that. The hair is resisting the direction I want it to go in and the short ends on the top are flying up, but I will keep trying. I recommend getting the hair cut because without a haircut, the ends looked a bit stringy but cutting the hair made a difference. It also looks more believable if the hair is layered and/or styled the way your natural hair is. I have layers, so it looked funny without cutting and styling the hair. Overall, I would still recommend this topper. I have thinning hair on my crown, so it’s better than having nothing at all to conceal it. I have human hair extensions and a smaller topper from somewhere else and they blend well with my hair, but I bought this topper because of the greater crown coverage than my current one. I would consider buying another crown if I ever want to go lighter in the future and will consider the clip in extensions once my current ones need replacing. My review is to help others be aware of the color and styling challenges, but both can be fixed. It’s not that big of a deal as it seems. These are just minor things that can be fixed, I just wanted others to be aware. The quality of the hair is good and doesn’t look fake.”
