“I’ve been wearing toppers for about 5 years, after a nasty chemo drug caused permanent damage to my hair follicles. I’ve bought many different toppers from different manufacturers. While this Hidden Crown topper isn’t the best one I’ve tried (spent $800+ on a great one) for the (25% off sale) price it’s darn good. I needed to tweak it quite a bit, but that’s pretty normal. The 60/8 color is pretty good, though the 60 leans a bit pale yellow and the 8 is too warm. I bought the unrooted color, because my roots are much lighter than the ‘rooted’ version. So I added a Lt/Med. Ash Blonde root melt, as well as additional lowlights in the same color. I added blue color-adjuster to hair color to get rid of yellowish tone. (I’ve been coloring my own hair for many years, and am almost a pro at this point). I use a product line called Absorver for shampoo and conditioner, as it’s designed for human hair extensions. I finish with a blue-toned conditioner to give a nice cool tone. I use NaPca mist pretty much daily to add weightless hydration. The base, while a nice full size, is a looser mesh, which shows too much of the ‘grid’ in the part, but I have a solution for that, too: After coloring was completed, I sewed on a thin layer of nude-colored cotton fabric onto base, which makes it look more like real scalp at the part. It also makes the topper more comfortable. You could also use an old nylon stocking- just be sure it matches your skin tone. I also sewed on more clips, which I order online. I tweezed the part a bit, then added slight curves with a curl bar, which smooths the hair and makes it look more natural. So, after all the tweaks, it looks great! (I’ll post photos soon). And saving almost $500 over a top-notch piece makes me happy!”

I initially bought the topper in color 60/8 because i have a blonde hair mix with lowlights, it was gorgeous and great quality, but i ended up returning it for 822, which was a better overall match. Each time I emailed them (3-4 times) I received a detailed response within SECONDS! The exchange process was super easy and fast, and it's been a great experience. I plan on ordering the HC extensions here in a couple days and I'll be scheduling an appointment with my hair dresser asap to get it customized to my style and looking perfect.
