“Love the quality of hidden crown hair extensions! The packaging is amazing! Not only do they pack extensions but they put in a few hair combs and hair clips, aswell as a sample piece of the extensions it’s self. The extensions hold a curl really well and last through out the whole night.
I can’t wait to use these extentions for my celebrity clients!
Thanks again Hidden crowns!”
“Just bought my 2nd piece in the lawyers, love the hair! Matched me perfectly and I wear the extentions everyday and people have mo idea! They just compliment how amazing and sexy my hair looks! :u1F970:”
“Let me start by saying I am really disappointed to be writing this review, because I was SO excited to try these extensions after years of Bellami clip-ins (which I LOVE & will now remain very loyal to) and semi-permanent solutions like microbeads. I also never write bad product reviews, because I usually don't walk away from a bad product out time and money, so it's not worth my energy. That was not the case here, so I feel compelled to write this review.
I wasted both time and money just coming into contact with this company leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. My entire experience with Hidden Crown was wasteful and a hassle from a consumer standpoint.
First, I have never had to pay for shipping both ways (purchase and return) with an online merchant before. I paid $13 just to ship it to me, which is really quite silly considering 90% of online merchants offer free shipping one way or another whether it be in the form of a code or purchasing over a certain dollar amount. And then after two days of emails back and forth trying to discern the right color I end up just throwing my hands up in the air and asking to return it. I am then told I have to pay for return shipping, so that was another $8 with USPS.
I just wasted $21 in shipping costs. I find that tacky for a $525 product and company trying to be a major player in the game to do that especially considering their major competitors don't even do this.
This experience with HC really made me appreciate the way Bellami has treated me as a long-standing customer. I don't pay for shipping, I get a return label, the hair is much more hygienically handled and sealed, and their packaging is nicer - I get a box, not a bag.
I was appalled that this product at this price did NOT come with a return shipping label! Appalled.
Importantly, the hair was not only NOT in the best condition, but it looked nothing color-wise like what it looks like online. To be reasonable, not being the right color isn't a big deal, that is easily mitigated by an exchange, however the piece I received seemed like it had been returned one too many times. The hair just didn't seem healthy or like it was in good shape. I pulled it out of the bag and was instantly disappointed. For $525 the last thing I want to feel is underwhelmed. I have high expectations - Bellami is able to provide gorgeous, thick, healthy wefts and they don't charge near as much, so I know my expectations are not unreasonable.
I also was not fond of that fact that I was able to put my hands on the actual hair piece and pull it out of the packaging. Bellami seals their hair - you can't even touch it, which is nice, because if you need to send it back you know that the hair you're getting hasn't been touched a tone of times by oily/dirty hands or laid on by pets, etc.. All HC asks is you don't cut the security tags, so you can't wear it, but you and others are easily able to touch it and if that piece gets ordered and sent back a few times I can see this being a reason a piece might start to look shabby, which the one I received did.
If the company can put themselves in my shoes as their customer:
1) I just spent $530 on hair I was really looking forward to receiving
2) I just paid $13 in shipping and as a consumer that orders a lot of goods online, I really don't like paying for shipping, period. I always opt for free shipping when it is available, even if it takes a longer, because I'm a savvy shopper and I know other people who work hard for their money operate from that same principal. We appreciate when a company has that option available to its customers!
3) The hair was not the quality or color I expected
4) I have to go back and forth via email for two days generously working with a customer representative patiently to no avail. After 2 days I give up trying to find something that'll work so I ask to return it.
5) I have to WASTE another $8 to ship a product that did not meet my expectations back to you.
All I got was frustration and wasted $23.
It is unfortunate, because if I was able to order hair through you and not lose $21 every time I would have happily tried this again thinking it was just that one piece I ordered that wasn't up to my standards.
But there is no way I would even attempt to order another HC extension knowing that if something isn't right you will not make me whole.”
“The hair is beautiful however the biggest issue I had with it, is it's just too much hair. Because it's so much hair it made it look fake. I ended up cutting a weft off to lesson the amount of hair.”
“The first night I wore these out the hair became so frizzy and unmanageable. I’ve never had any extensions do this before. I was so embarrassed. Also I’m not sure if it’s because I received the longest length, but my head hurt a lot by the end of the night from the wire. For what I paid, I’m really disappointed. And to say we can’t use hair serums or products on the hair, is unrealistic unless the hair would stay perfect or it’s not real, as you’ve claimed it is. Wouldn’t buy again.”
