“This is my second hidden crown product, I also have the 12” halo and since not having had a haircut in almost a year due the pandemic, I think I’ll be purchasing the 16” halo next. This pony is great once you figure out how to properly attach it. I wear it all the time since I don’t want to style my hair while I’m just working from home. Be sure to watch their YouTube video “common ponytail challenges”. I find it’s super easy to attach the hook when you don’t let go of the final loop on the second elastic. See my picture to help explain that.”
“Ok so I'm going to be honest, this bungee ponytail was difficult to figure out for me. I've used the original ponytail extensions from other companies (where you have the velcro that's connected to the separate, wrap around piece of hair) and that one was easier for me to use. This one I had to try about 5 or 6 times before finally getting it to it hold. The biggest problem is, despite the middle hook and the two side hooks, I just couldn't get the base to not slide down my real hair. I think part of the issue is I do have fine and thin hair, so it's possibly why I had so much trouble. The volume of the ponytail is just so much heavier than my hair. I think the velcro on the other ponytails just really helps keep the pony tail on, whereas this just has hooks which doesn't seem quite as effective to me. So what I ended up doing is wrapping my real hair in a really tight small bun and then connecting the extension to that. That seemed to help and I haven't had it slide down yet. This is the first day I'm using the ponytail, so I'll have to see how it holds up. Overall the hair is great quality, I'm just a little disappointed that the bungee style didn't work as well for me as I thought it would. If you have extremely fine/thin hair like I do be aware of the possibility that you may have some trouble with it. If you have thicker hair or more voluminous hair then you most likely won't have an issue with it. It does look beautiful once it's on!”
“This ponytails affords me the ability to go from dirty hair to fabulous in just minutes. It’s a game changer as a hairdresser, I don’t have to spend 30 minutes getting ready for work when I don’t have the time.”
“I had to take out my extensions during the stay at home time. I have been wearing extensions for 15 years, I have crazy fine hair so the halo made my hair look good again with my extensions out. I am thinking I may just stick to using the halo going forward and not having extensions sewn in any longer. It is faster to get ready, less time and money in the salon and giving my hair a break, beaded rows did create bald spots with my fine hair. I like the topper, however it is a little too much hair, I wish they would do a mini topper, smaller thinner base to just enhance fine hair but look more believable. I have a mini topper from another company that I love but not as easy to match the color. I like that you can buy a topper in the same color(and rooted) as the halo from Hidden Crown for a perfect match. I prefer doing a halo and topper over a wig, versatile and cooler, do not always like to wear the topper. May try a little Valor on the halo to see if it will help ensure no movement, it is good but with very fine hair, and if I will be wearing full time, it would make me feel more confident.”
“I was so excited to receive my Bungee Ponytail that I temporarily forgot that I could not return the same if I opened the ponytail. Sadly, due to not following the Hidden Crown company policies, I am not able to use my Ponytail, nor am I am to return my ponytail for a different color. The Bungee Ponytail is very beautiful! Hidden Crown, in my opinion, has the "top of the line" products and I would not hesitate to recommend the Bungee Ponytail to anyone considering purchasing same:just make sure you order the correct color.”
“I like the concept of the ponytail. I just feel it needs to be tweaked. It doesnt hold on well unless your hair I pulled up extremely tight with two rubberbands which is not comfortable for long. I'm still giving it a go but it will take some time to get used too.”
