“This course is good as a basic low level awareness training. I evaluated it as a potential option for fellow employees as I have a good level of DSEAR knowledge. It does omit a few things which I feel might have been useful, such as dangerous substance properties e.g. flash points, flammability limits, vapour density & pressure, also the effect of temperature & pressure, and more details on zoning (particularly that they have specified direction/dimensions). Although the detail of these may be more suitable to a more in depth level of training, a mention so it's understood they are factors might be useful to all? I also felt the multiple choice assessment was a little bit on the easy side. I would suggest it is appropriate for low risk workplaces, or employees who require an awareness but don't engage with dangerous substances or the areas they're present.”
