“The course content is absolutely fine, and the structure is easy and clear to work through. However when the topic is something as important as Child Protection and Safeguarding there should be a downloadable handbook available after completion for DSL's to keep with them whilst working. This might not be applicable to all your courses, but I believe is important for this one. There is so much detail which in a moment where there might be a child protection matter which arises, similar to First Aid you need to have some key information easily to hand. Going through and screenshotting screens as was suggested is not really an adequate alternative. Even if you created the handbook/pdf as an added purchase at the end of the course, this would be preferable to simply saying "well you can log back in whenever you need to to have a look". One problem with that is that each page are slides, and it takes an age for them to fully appear on the screen, so in a situation where I have to make a referral to social care, logging back in for 2 hours to trawl through all the slides and find the relevant information is not a helpful option. That is the one downfall of this course. I am a children's out of school activity provider. I am not looking to copy your business and sell it on the side. It is a reasonable part of the course to expect some kind of reference document to be given with the course. It does not need to be the full course, but at least the important key information to help keep children safe.”

Hello Davina, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review and feedback. I'm glad to hear that you found the training clear and easy to work through. Unfortunately, the course material is unavailable to print because each course is 100% online and interactive with moving images. Also, it contains confirmation exercises along the way that are designed to ensure that candidates have understood the information they learn as they progress through the course. We have to be extremely careful as a training provider as any printable versions of the course could quickly go out of date, people could be referring to out of date training in the future and we have to manage this. Even after you have completed the course and passed the test, your login details will remain valid for 12 months so you can login again in the future if you need to refer back to the course material. To do this, simply log back in and click "Previous" in the modules until you've reached the pages that you want to review. At the end of each module there is a Module Summary, which you could always note down to help you in the future.
