“speed of read out could be abit faster even on higher though it was too slow”

“Poor. Very little on how to actually do the job, possible scenarios in various places of employment and with various machines/plant and where you should stand for specific vehicles. Safe distances from plant etc. Also, its a banksman course - Doesn't need to be anything in it about who has ultimate responsibility legally and legislation etc. Also, there should be nothing in it about who provides PPE and when this should be replaced etc - irrelevant for this course.”

Good morning Chris and Happy New Year! Thank you for your review and feedback on our Banksman Training, we appreciate you taking the time to feedback to us. I'm sorry to hear that you found that course wasn't what you expected. The course covers key areas of a banksman's role, including helping to maintain the control measures put in place by their employer, effectively instructing and guiding drivers and operators when other controls are not sufficient for reducing the risks, and keeping the work area free from pedestrians and others who may be harmed. It explains how to use the signals set out in the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, which banksmen commonly use to help direct drivers and operators. Illustrations, videos, and animations are used to teach learners the hand signals, so they can see them in action. It can also act as a refresher for those who have already received practical training. It is not a replacement for practical training, which is required beyond the course. We are always looking to improve our training. I have therefore passed on your feedback onto the relevant teams ready for the next version of the course.
