“Regarding handwashing, misleading information about the temperature of water required for handwashing is presented. The FSA, NHS and other bodies all recognise that the temperature is irrelevant, but rather the duration and surface contact of the cleaning agent (soap) across all parts of the hands. FSA requires hot and cold running water, but this is not essential for washing hands effectively (nobody has powdered soap).”
