“It’s an expensive lock but if I am able to retain my bike and leave it unattended it’s worth it
I bought two locks; one for my spouses e-bike too”
“Good product, key works smooth, happy to see 3 keys, concerned that key number is printed on key - guess I'll have to grind that off - somebody sees your keys and then orders a replacement in your name - not good.
Need a longer version of the cut resistant - won't fit a scooter.
Need to use this cut resistant technology to make an air tag holder that can be locked or epoxy attached to bike.”
“Heavy duty dlock
I've now had some time using the Hiplok D1 and I must admit I am very pleased I purchased it even though it was expensive. I wanted a lock for my E-bike and I think this does the trick. It is heavy and solid and most importantly a deterrent - the aim is to hopefully keep a the bike thief entertained longer than they'd like. And to add a bonus to their misery I also use an alarm D lock too! It's limiting what you can lock it up to. I find the inner D shape small and short with an inner space of 17x9cm, so it will fit bike hoops/post or thin sign post but nothing wider, though of course you can fit it through railings. The lock is coated in black rubber so it doesn't scratch the paintwork. Yes it is heavy, I believe they are also used on motorbikes, however I let the E-bike carry it.”
